The Villages Public Safety Department will restart the Smoke Detector Program on Monday for residents of The Villages.
As part of the Fall Prevention Program, The Villages Public Safety Department offers battery changes and detector replacement for those residents of The Villages that are disabled or unable to climb a ladder. The resident is responsible for supplying the new batteries and/or detectors.
The service is offered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on a first come first serve basis by calling The Villages Public Safety Department at (352) 205-8280 during normal business hours.
