To the Editor:
With the COVID-19 virus spreading like wildfire here in Florida, new cases and death rates soaring, one might ask why The Villages would open the town squares. People dancing shoulder to shoulder, not a mask in sight, perhaps singing, “Come die with me.”
If anyone had a half a grain of common sense they would know this is so wrong. Or is it? I always try to look on the positive side of most situations and I think there is one here. We know there will be spread of the virus and with that a number of deaths. The real estate companies, The Villages and all associated will benefit greatly. The death rates will cause people to sell thus creating homes available for purchase. They get ‘em going and coming. Not much of an upside, but it does depend what side of the fence you’re on. Have fun dancing. Good luck selling.
