Phyllis Irene Yagle

Phyllis Irene Yagle

Phyllis Irene Yagle, of Lady Lake, Florida passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020. She was born on February 23, 1930 in Rock Island, Illinois to the late Scott and Irene Wright.

She spent about 15 years in south Florida then eventually moved to Orange Blossom Gardens in 1986, better known as The Villages today.  Phyllis enjoyed her life in The Villages, playing bunco, bingo, billiards, bocce and, of course, her favorite thing to do was dance on the square.  She also enjoyed making Afghans for her family and bogie creek.  Phyllis also organized food drives every year during the holidays.  She was a dog lover and during her time in The Villages she had two dogs (Heidi then Muffin). They were the joy of her life.  Phyllis became the matriarch of the block because she lived in that area the longest.  She lived a long happy life.

Her husband, Gerald passed in 2008.  She is survived by her sons Jay (Debbie), Greg (Kathleen) and Glenn; granddaughters; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held in 2021, date and time to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends you please consider making a donation to St Jude Children’s Hospital.
