Both bowlers started out with nine straight strikes before Herradon tallied a nine-count spare and a strike in the 10th frame for a final score of 279. Becker picked up an 8-count spare in the 10th frame and followed that with a strike for a final score of 278.

All told, 65 bowlers competed in the event, with 15 of them being Super Seniors. Of those, seven made the natural cut of 625 which meant that one Super Senior was invited to continue on in the tournament.
