A Summerfield woman who once was arrested at a Circle K in The Villages while having car trouble is back in jail.
Marion County sheriff’s deputies arrested 35-year-old Jessica Nicole Cardiff on Wednesday on outstanding Marion County warrants. She was taken into custody after being stopped in the 12400 block of S.E. 141st Avenue Road and booked into the Marion County Jail a short time later.
Cardiff, who lives at 5275 S.E. 137th Ln., is facing charges of driving with license suspended or revoked, fraud/displaying someone else’s license, possession and/or use of drug equipment and bench warrants for failure to appear in court on charges of driving while license suspended or canceled and possession and/or use of drug equipment. She is being held on no bond on the previous charges and $2,500 bond on the new charges and her next court date hasn’t yet been set, jail records show.
Cardiff also was arrested in March 2019 after a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy spotted her at the Circle K on Buenos Aires Boulevard with the hood of her white Dodge Dakota raised. The deputy ran the license plate and discovered the registered owner of the vehicle was wanted on a Marion County warrant, a report states.
Cardiff had been inside the Circle K and was arrested after she returned to the vehicle. A tow truck was called to remove the vehicle and during an inventory of the pickup a clear glass smoking pipe was discovered. It tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the report.
