Woman experiencing car trouble arrested at Circle K in The Villages

Jessica Nicole Cardiff

A woman experiencing car trouble was arrested at a Circle K in The Villages.

Jessica Nicole Cardiff, 33, of Ocklawaha, had the hood of a white Dodge Dakota pickup raised at about 10 p.m. Friday at the Circle K on Buenos Aires Boulevard.

A Sumter County sheriff’s deputy ran the license plate and discovered the registered owner of the vehicle was wanted on a Marion County warrant. Cardiff had been inside the Circle K and was arrested after she returned to the vehicle. A tow truck was called to remove the vehicle and during an inventory of the pickup a clear glass smoking pipe was discovered. It tested positive for methamphetamine.

Cardiff was taken into custody and booked without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.
