A man was arrested with THC oil and vape pens during a traffic stop in the Village of St. James.
Kenneth Lee Caudell, 44, of Summerfield, was driving a vehicle that was pulled over at 3:15 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Neptune Drive and Pinnacle Place, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The Florida native has been classified as a habitual offender and has six convictions for driving while license suspended. The vehicle he was driving had a license plate which had been assigned to another vehicle.
A search of his vehicle turned up two vape pens which contained THC oil. Marijuana, rolling papers and a grinder were also found in the vehicle.
He was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug equipment, driving while license suspended and failure to register a motor vehicle. He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $6,500.
