A Fruitland Park man was arrested after an alleged threat aimed at his estranged wife.
Andrew Jordan, 34, was taken into custody on a warrant charging him with aggravated assault Tuesday night at his home at 508 S. Dixie Ave.
Jordan went to a home in Leesburg on June 11 where his wife was staying with another man and confronted her outside the residence, according to an arrest warrant on file with the Lake County Court. He got out of his vehicle and brandished an expandable metal baton. He began swinging the baton and struck the driver’s side quarter panel of the woman’s vehicle.
The woman, who is in the midst of a divorce from Jordan, was in fear and ran to her roommate, who had been watching the incident unfold from the driveway, the warrant said. He pulled a firearm from a concealed holster and ordered Jordan to leave. Jordan retreated to his vehicle and fled the scene.
Following his arrest, Jordan was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,500 bond.
