The monthly Showcase of Talent is being held at 7 p.m. at La Hacienda Recreation Center on Friday, Sept. 17. Our last show was February 2020.
We have been putting on this “Villages only” show for about eight years and all of the proceeds go to help keeping live music alive. At $5 per attendee, we have given out scholarships totaling more than $80,000 to The Opera club, The Jazz Sociey, etc.
I audition every new act and one of our main objectives is “showcasing” talent new to The Villages in addition to the scholarships.
