Lady Lake, FL – Theresa Bernadette (nee Flynn) Skolits, 94, entered into eternal life on August 15, 2021 at the Chatham Glen Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in The Villages, FL. Theresa was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to the late John and Mary Ann (nee Meehan) Flynn. Theresa moved to Raritan Township, NJ in 1962 before settling in Florida in 2015.
Theresa was of strong faith and an active member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, NJ. She was known for her optimistic outlook on life with a can-do attitude and her infinite patience. She dedicated her life to her husband and their eight children, going to all of their sporting events, school plays and any activity they were involved in. She took time for herself on Saturday mornings when she loved to look for “good finds” at local garage and yard sales. Theresa also enjoyed FaceTiming with her family and tracing her Irish heritage on the internet.
Besides her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her beloved husband Theodore, brothers John, Richard, and Francis, and sisters, Mary Gormley and Nancy Sullivan.
Theresa leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted children; Theodore, Stephen, and Kathleen, all of The Villages, FL, Susan Enos (Thomas) of Flemington, NJ, John Skolits (Adele) of Perrysburg, OH, Marianne Connolly (Charles) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Robert Skolits of NY, NY, and Richard Skolits (David) of New Hope, PA. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren; Shane Enos (Jessica), Kellyn Gitomer (Ross), Jenna Lugo (Christian), Cody Enos, Theodore Skolits (Nikayla), Kevin Skolits, Katie King (Matt), Jason Skolits (Ashley), Abigail Skolits, Bryan Connolly (Lauren), and Kevin Connolly, as well as her 11 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and attend the funeral liturgy on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. Committal words and interment will follow at Saint Magdalen de Pazzi Cemetery in Flemington, NJ.
