To the Editor:
In an obvious effort to prop up his anemic poll numbers, President Biden hijacked the recent police killing tragedies in New York City to make a speech on getting tough on crime. Did he talk about black-on-black gang killings that account for the vast majority of gun deaths in America? NO! Did he address the issue of no or low bail that allows criminals to get immediately back on the streets to commit crimes? NO!! Did he address the feckless district attorney’s in New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and other democrat cities who will not prosecute these gun toting criminals? NO! Did he address the city council members in New York and other democrat cities that vote and continue to back the defund the police movement that has put their citizens at risk of losing life and limb? NO! Well then what did he talk about?
President Biden talked about an inanimate object as the cause of the terrible crime ravaging America … the gun. A gun doesn’t kill anyone unless someone pulls a trigger. Who pulls the trigger in America that’s killing all these people? Is it law-abiding citizens who own guns for protection or sport? NO! Is it drug dealers who are protecting their turf in Democrat-run cities? YES! Is it mentally deranged killers with long rap sheets who’ve been let back out on the streets? Yes! Is it illegal aliens who President Biden brings into our cities and states in the dead of night? Sometimes!
President Biden doesn’t want to alienate his base of BLM VOTERS so he will not address the real reason our crime rates are at an all time high and our great cities are as dangerous as any banana republic.
He talks about illegal guns and ghost guns but doesn’t talk about who is using and stealing the guns.
That presentation this afternoon was a photo op and little more. So sad for these kids who are shot to death at the beginning of their lives.
