Lady Lake police apprehended a man behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle.
David Bryan McKay, 62, of Fruitland Park, was driving the green Ford Ranger pickup at 7 a.m. Monday when he was pulled over at North Clay Street and Oak Street because the vehicle fit the description of a stolen vehicle, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. A check of the license plate confirmed it had been reported stolen.
McKay did not have a valid driver’s license, but told police he was “working on it.”
He was arrested on a charge of grand theft of a motor vehicle. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,000 bond.
