Rita Cloutier

Rita Cloutier of The Villages passed away on the evening of December 2nd, 2022. She was 88 years old and a celebrant of St Timothy’s Catholic Church. Having lost Norm, her beloved husband and best friend of 70 years just a few short months prior, Rita was ready to be called home to the Lord at the time of her passing. Life just wasn’t the same without Norm by her side, and she was eager to reunite with him in Heaven.

Rita was born in West Glover Vermont in 1934 and was always on the go. Throughout her long work history, she was proud to have served as Town Clerk of Columbia (Connecticut), among other things. In her golden years, she enjoyed working odd jobs (she never could sit still!), visiting with friends, and helping to craft over 80,000 rosaries for “the Rosary Makers” in service to her faith.

Rita will be remembered for her wicked sense of humor and beautiful smile. Though she was small, she was fierce; in her faith, opinions, and love for her family. She is survived by her two sons, Rick and Dale, siblings Paul and Paulette, daughters-in-law, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her legacy is one of love and laughter, and she will be dearly missed.
