James C. Hill, formerly of Northbrook, Illinois, passed away surrounded by his family in The Villages, Florida, on June 23, 2023, following a brief illness. He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Eileen, of The Villages; daughter Margaret of Evanston; son John (Karen) and granddaughter Clare of Astoria, NY; sisters Marilyn and Joann, both living in Upstate New York; and many nieces and nephews.
Jim and Eileen lived in Northbrook for 33 years, raising their two children there and working in Chicago and the North Shore. Jim worked as a Certified Public Accountant and auditor for Brunswick, Nestle, and Metra before retiring to Florida.
A parishioner at St. Norbert, an avid golfer and an all-around good guy, he was loved very much and will be missed. Donations in his memory can be made to the American Cancer Society (donate.cancer.org).
