Public’s help sought in search for thief who stole $1,000 in merchandise from Walmart

The public’s help is being sought in the search for a suspected thief who stole $1,000 in merchandise from Walmart at Buffalo Ridge in The Villages.

The unidentified white male on Oct. 6 arrived and fled in a gray four-door passenger car, of unknown make or model, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 pounds, has a goatee and a full tattoo sleeve on his right arm. He is in his late thirties, or early forties.
