Judith Lorraine Sanders, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and family members on November 6th, 2023, due to complications with pneumonia.

Judy was born January 7th,1939 Citronelle, Florida to Cordie and Jewel Roddenberry. Judy was a member of the Farm Bureau and a longtime resident of Citrus and Sumter Counties. Judy was married in 1969 to Wesley Sanders for 37 years and he was preceded by death in 2006.

Judy was a loving and devoted mother survived by her sons: Danny Seawright (Jacqueline) and Ray (preceded by death Hazel) Sanders; Daughters Donna Holden (Chuck), Carolyn Phillips (preceded by death Tim) and Patricia Belue who preceded her in death in 2010; Grandchildren Dillon and Jacob Seawright, John (Miranda) Sanders, Tricia (Frank) Varela, Buddie Mae (Kris) Vanderpool, David Potter, Shabaca (Mike) Maldonado, Jason Soukup, Autumn Phillips, Timmy Phillips; Nine Great Grandchildren and Sister: Gloria Lowe. Judy is also preceded by the death of her Brother Jerry Roddenberry and by her Sister Shirley Lockard.

Judy enjoyed working at E Systems Electronics as an electronics radar technician, as a Food Server at several local restaurants and a Caregiver for many years. Judy also enjoyed sewing, cooking, RV camping, creating egg art and taking care of those in need, especially her family. Judy treasured all her children and especially loved her role as Grandma and Nana. Grandma/Nanas’ home was always open to everyone, where she made you feel welcomed and always had a hot meal to share. Judy loved the simple life of living on the farm, raising animals, Elvis, and great southern food.

A memorial service will be held on the family farm in Lake Panasoffkee with a sunrise service on Saturday, December 16th at 7:00 a.m.
