Audrey Jean Richards, 64, of Wildwood, Florida passed away peacefully with her devoted & loving husband, Ronnie Allen Richards, by her side on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
She was born on November 21, 1959 in Lake City, Florida to Malice Sellers & Geneva Brown Harris. Audrey attended Leesburg High School and obtained her GED from Lee Adult in the 80’s due to becoming a mother. She worked for decades in different hospitality roles and always enjoyed working with people. She spent most of her life in Leesburg, 11 years in Keystone Heights; where she married Ronnie Allen Richards on April 15, 2001, and the last 12 years of her life as a resident of Wildwood.
Audrey enjoyed fishing, riding bike trails and sewing special keepsakes for her grandchildren but most of all she enjoyed her family. She was not a materialistic individual and would say that her greatest achievement was her family. Audrey was a devoted wife and mother who wanted nothing more than to see her loved ones happy.
Audrey loved a good laugh but enjoyed seeing other’s laugh more. When telling a story, she became colorfully animated so that everyone would laugh and enjoy the story. She enjoyed people watching and in doing so would narrate a script that she thought the person may be thinking or saying just to make us laugh.
She is survived by her husband Ronnie Allen Richards of Wildwood, FL, children Amanda Y. (Robert R.) Casaburi of Tavares, FL, Jason M. (Danielle) Reynolds of Leesburg, FL, grandchildren Liam F. Galbreath, Madylan C. Galbreath, Dylan M. Reynolds, Brady A. Reynolds, great-grandchild Ryder James Reynolds (expected August 21, 2024), mother-in-law Kay Richards, sisters-in-law Tammie Richards, Debbie Bright, nieces and nephews Ericka Miller, Swain (Misty) Padgett, Juanita Bell, Rebecca Bell, Geneva Taylor, Courtney (Chris) Moody, Brett (Janelle) Polk, Brian (Ashley) Polk, Krystal Doty, Catie Baumes, James Lemongelli, Jr., great nieces and nephews Clayton Padgett, Devon Padgett, Briana Mealor, Kasey Reed, Autumn Bell, Haleah Young, Savannah Earls, Ceirra Young, Cassidy Lewis, Christopher Lewis, Chase Moody, Callie Moody, Olivia Polk, Emma Polk, Ryan Polk, Riley Polk, Riley Pressburg, Storm Baumes, Kyran LaFosse, Killian Barnett, Chase Barnett and Carlee Barnett.
She was preceded in death by her parents Malice Sellers and Geneva Brown Harris, siblings Robert Taft, Jeanette Johnson, Linda Sellers, and possibly Raymond Taft (status unknown), father-in-law Roger Richards, nephews Dan Miller, Steve Taylor and great-nephew Nathan Knight.
