Lorraine Lape, 92 years old passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 20, 2024 at Lady Lake Specialty Care in The Villages.

Born on June 5, 1932 in the City of Yonkers, NY to Alice Buckley & James Goldbar.

Married Donald J. Lape Sr. in September 1950 and were married 62 years until his passing in 2012.
She’s lived in Yonkers, Peekskill & Pleasant Valley, New York till they moved to the Villages in 1996. She’s a Life Member of Ladies Auxiliary of the Cortlandt Eng. Company, Montrose NY with 44 years of service.

She worked at The Salvation Army & Ednalite Optical Company both in Peekskill, New York
She loved her church at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Lady Lake, FL
Member of The Villages: Silver Lakes Ladies Club, Irish – American Club

She loved her family & friends, her dog (Pixie), playing Dirty Uno, doing puzzles, gardening in her yard, going for golf cart rides, dancing, listen to music in the Squares, talking to people, sitting on her patio in the warm Florida air, family reunions and The Villages Lifestyle

Also Survived by her Sister in Law, Joanne Anderson, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends

She’s predeceased by her loving husband Donald “Don” Lape Sr in 2012, her sister Theresa in 2001, her brother Richard in 2011, daughters in law Debbie in 2015, Sharon in 2024 and her and parents.

A visitation will be held on June 28, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home & Crematory – Lady Lake, located at 134 N US Highway 441 in Lady Lake.

A funeral will be held on June 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at St. Timothy Catholic Church, located at 1351 Paige Pl in Lady Lake.

A commital service will be held on August 1, from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Florida National Cemetery, located at 6502 SW 102nd Avenue in Bushnell.
