Homeowners insurance shock is showing up in Florida migration numbers

To the Editor:

Florida saw net domestic migration of +64K in 2024, compared to +185K in 2023 and +314K in 2022. This is a sharp drop in migration to Florida.
These figures are for July to July, therefore the 2025 migration numbers will be available shortly after July 2025.
