Marian Donvito, beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025. Born on February 24, 1936 to Anna and August Checkits where she lived in the Bronx, NY; a special place where later she met her first love, Frank, at a local dance. After marriage, they moved to Norwood, NJ.
Marian dedicated her life to raising her family and took great pride in preparing home-cooked meals every evening. Marian had a great sense of humor, enjoyed social gatherings, and showcased her dancing skills with her husband of 67 years on over 50 cruises throughout the world. Marian loved to travel. Upon Frank’s retirement, they moved to the Villages, FI where she learned to golf with the Red Hat Ladies and enjoyed hosting/gathering with friends at dinner parties. Marian is survived by her husband Frank of Lady Lake, Fl, her son Michael Donvito and wife Christine and children, Joseph and Julianna of Paramus, NJ and daughter Linda and husband Francis Brophy and grandson Thomas of Hillsdale, NJ.
The family has requested a private cremation. The visitation will be held at Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory in Lady Lake, Florida on February 7, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. with the Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 p.m.
