What do you think of our political system now? The reality of our what our government has become will only get worse in time. Republicans are now getting in line with Trump but they are as guilty as any politician. Where did all the RINO’s go? Where have the republicans been? Republicans had control of congress the last two years of the Biden Administration. How many “continuing resolution” and “omnibus” bills (that funded this corruption and waste) did Republicans approve over the last number of years? Trump stopped Speaker Johnson from another irresponsible and wasteful pork bill in December. Republicans approved increases in the debt limit that funded this insanity. Isn’t congress responsible for oversight of government? Despite tough talk, republicans actions supported the corruption you are seeing unfold. Now, republicans will go along with Trump’s agenda so they can point the finger at the opposing party for their mess being uncovered. “Look over there at those corrupt Democrats”.
Distinct political parties in government is a mirage. The one single body politic is a failure. This one party is controlled by special interests like big Pharma, the military industrial complex, the healthcare industrial complex, the big banking industrial complex who are all filling the pockets of politicians. It has been a free-for-all with our money leading us to 36 trillion in debt with politicians becoming multi-millionaires.
Politicians cannot and will not do what this president is now doing. The president and his staff of business managers are not controlled by and have no obligation to donors, special interests or beneficiaries of the waste and fraud being exposed. Republicans, for now, will turn on their donors to prevent from being exposed as part of this.
The stage four cancer that has sickened and rotted our government, is a lack of common sense and judgment, irresponsibility, corruption, unaccountability, arrogance and belligerence; is also intentional, criminal and treasonous.
How do “we the people” force fundamental, structural and permanent change? How do we force our politicians into destroying the gravy train they constructed for themselves? Maybe time will lead us to actions required for change. As this corruption continues to unfold, maybe politicians will not be able to resist the demands from “we the people”. Think this is overly harsh? If DOGE is objective and allowed to follow and expose the money trail; those involved will be politicians of all parties; maybe all politicians.
