A Villager allegedly attacked her neighbor over her displeasure with a driveway pressure washing job.
Diane Lynn Carpentieri, 66, who lives at 998 Smyrna St. in the Carlton Villas in the Village of Sabal Chase, was apparently upset about her neighbor’s pressure washing job at the next-door courtyard villa, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

Carpentieri got into an argument earlier in the day on Monday with the next-door neighbor lady. That evening, the neighbor lady was taking out her trash when she was approached by Carpentieri, who started another “verbal altercation about the pressure washing,” the report said.
Carpentieri grabbed the other woman’s right arm “with a lot of pressure, and twisted it behind her back.” The altercation was captured on the neighbor lady’s video surveillance system.
When a deputy took Carpentieri into custody, it appeared she was suffering a medical episode. She was transported to the UF Health Brownwood Emergency Room clinic for medical treatment.
Upon her medical discharge, Carpentieri was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on a charge of battery. She was initially held without bond.
Carpentieri purchased the villa in 2022 for $349,900.
