Two golf courses in The Villages are to be renovated at a cost of $1.6 million.
The Amenity Authority Committee will review bids when its members meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Savannah Center.
The two golf courses to be renovated are De La Vista and Walnut Grove.
The De La Vista Executive Golf Course was built in 1995 and Walnut Grove Executive Golf Course was built in 2001. Neither course has ever been fully renovated.
Renovations will include complete replacement of bunkers, fairways, tee boxes, greens and associated underdrain systems, as well as other enhancement projects, golf cart path repair and replacement and heavy tree trimming work.
The successful bidder appears to be SSS Down to Earth OPCO LLC with a bid of $1.6 million. A total of five bids are being considered, with highest bid coming in at $2.9 million.
