Carolyn Ann Ianelli of The Villages, Florida, passed away April 2, 2025 at the age of 67 years. Carolyn was born June 17th, 1957 on Staten Island, New York.
Her most defining characteristic was her unwavering love for her family. She raised four remarkable children. Carolyn was a diligent and compassionate individual, always eager to assist others. She dedicated her career as a home health aid, working tirelessly for many years to provide care to individuals in various communities across Northeast New York. After moving to The Villages, she gave back to the community by volunteering at both the Cornerstone Hospice facility and the Marion County Hospice thrift store.
Carolyn was renowned for her culinary skills, consistently impressing everyone with her delicious and inventive dishes. Her ability to transform simple ingredients into gourmet meals was a testament to her creativity and passion for cooking, making her a beloved figure in the kitchen. The neighborhood had dubbed her “The Pie Lady”.
She loved gardening and had a remarkable knack for nurturing plants. Her tomato plants, in particular, were a testament to her green thumb, growing taller than she was. She had over eight Vanda orchids that adorned the pathway with beautiful flowers every month. In addition, she cultivated Bonsai trees and was active in the local Bonsai club.
She picked up golf after tying the knot with Joe and was a total beginner, but she absolutely loved being outdoors. And guess what? She even managed to sink a hole in one after only three years of playing!
