The swimming pool at the Chula Vista Recreation Center is undergoing a complete renovation.
The pool, originally built in 1993, is being completely renovated with new Marcite, waterline tile, coping, equipment, as well as pool deck pavers. This will be complemented by an additional 2,000 square feet of pool deck space, an additional shade structure and a shade trellis.
In addition, a natural gas fire pit with a seating area and additional picnic tables are being installed. The bathrooms will be renovated with new tile and fixtures. The renovated pool is expected to reopen in May.
The work is being funded through the Amenity Authority Committee.
