A Weirsdale woman was arrested after allegedly biting and scratching the father of her two children in an apparent child visitation dispute.

Officers responded to a fight in progress, later found to involve 22-year-old Aryanna Hadiya McFadden, at an undisclosed residence at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

Upon arrival, the officers met with the male victim who advised that he was waiting outside for his mother to unlock the apartment door with his girlfriend. While waiting, the mother of his two children, McFadden, ran around the side of the building towards him, screaming and yelling, before attempting to tackle him, the report said.

The man tried to hold McFadden in a bear hug and asked her to calm down multiple times as she continued to scream, scratch and bite him. He began yelling for help as she screamed that she was going to “kill him if he didn’t let her see the kids,” the report said.

The man’s girlfriend backed up his story, that McFadden came around the corner of the building yelling.

A neighbor came outside during the altercation. One of the officers was on the phone with the neighbor at the time for an unrelated case and could hear scuffling along with an adult male yelling for help in the background, the report said.

The victim was observed to have a red and bruising bite mark on his upper right chest. The skin was broken where teeth had pierced it. Several more bite marks were seen in the upper right thigh area, and numerous scratch marks were on his right arm and lower right leg. A large area of redness and bruising was on his lower right leg. He declined EMS medical attention.

McFadden had visible abrasions to her lower right leg and a small area of blood around her nose piercing. She also denied needing EMS, the report said.

The report noted that officers saw both of McFadden’s slide style shoes lying on the sidewalk at the corner of the building. This was consistent with what would happen if one began running and kicked off their shoes. It was also consistent with the victim’s statement that McFadden began running at him from the corner of the building.

McFadden was subsequently arrested for battery (domestic) and transported to Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $1,000 bond.
