A Summerfield woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license after being stopped for speeding.

An officer observed the driver of a white 2006 GMC Envoy, later identified as 39-year-old Jennifer Irona White, speeding northbound on U.S. 301 near the intersection of Pepper Tree Lane at around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 1, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. The officer paced the vehicle for about a mile at 51 miles per hour in a 45-mph zone.

As a result, the officer stopped the vehicle and approached White to explain the reason for the stop. He asked for her driver’s license, and she informed him that she did not have one. A record check confirmed it was suspended four times for refusal to submit breath/urine/blood, DUI and failure to pay traffic fine, the report said.

Another officer on scene learned White was found guilty of driving while license suspended with knowledge from Sept. 5, 2024, in Marion County. She also had one prior DUI conviction with a current revocation since Nov. 30, 2016. A separate record check revealed she had two DUIs, one driving with license suspended or revoked and one driving without license, the report said.

White was subsequently arrested on charge of driving while license suspended and transported to Sumter County Jail. She was released after posting $150 bond.
