An Ocala man was arrested for driving without a license in Wildwood.

An officer spotted 34-year-old Claude Alexander Livingston driving a blue Toyota utility vehicle with a registration expired as of April 6 at around 9:45 p.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. As a result, a traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of U.S. 301 and West Clark Street.

The officer approached Livingston, who handed over a Florida ID. He later admitted that “he knew he shouldn’t have been driving.” Indeed, a check of his driving history revealed he did not have a valid driver’s license nor had he been issued one, the report said.

Livingston was subsequently arrested for operate motor vehicle without valid license (second conviction) and issued a traffic warning for the expired registration. Once at Sumter County Detention Center, Marion County placed a hold on his custody for a violation of probation. He was ultimately held without bond.
