A frustrated Villager allegedly attacked a woman who tried to help him with a computer problem.
John Andrew Knoedl, 69, who lives on the Historic Side of The Villages, was arrested Saturday afternoon on a charge of domestic battery.

A woman said she had tried to help the Minnesota native with a computer problem, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The two began arguing and Knoedl shoved the woman out the door. She threatened to call the police, prompting him to strike her over her left eye. A police officer who responded to the scene noted the woman had “a bruise-like welt visible above her left eye.”
Knoedl was taken into custody and booked at the Lake County Jail. He was released after posting $1,000 bond.
