The iconic Florida brand Twistee Treat is coming to The Villages.
The company’s President Brian Silvernell has announced that a store with its famous 25-foot ice cream cone will be built at Pinellas Plaza on County Road 466A. Twistee Treat specializes in soft serve swirls and sprinkle-covered sundaes.

Silvernell said he is “optimistically hoping” the ice cream eatery will be opening in September or October, but will “definitely” be opening before the end of 2025. He said the location will include drive-through service.
“The Villages is the perfect place to be,” Silvernell said in a video announcement produced by The Villages.
Twistee Treat dates back to 1983 and was founded in North Fort Myers. The original company went bankrupt, but a new version of the company was formed and is now growing fast in the Orlando and Tampa area.
The Twistee Treat nearest The Villages is located in Tavares.
