Barbara Dahm Tomberlin of Summerfield, FL passed away on May 24, 2025 at the age of 91. She was born on January 21, 1934 inn Gowanda, NY before moving to Evanston IL where she grew up.
She graduated from Evanston Towmship High School in 1951 Along with her identical twin sister Beverly, the girls worked as Models and Spokeswomen for several national ad campaigns including Twindow Windows and Toni Hair Care Products.
While a student at Northwestern University, her brother Barry introduced her to his USAF Flight School roommate, Rollin. After a short romance and months of exchanging love letters, Barbara and Rollin were married on January 24, 1953. They went on to have 4 sons and were married for 60 years.
Barbara was preceded in death by her son Gregg, her husband Rollin, and siblings Barry and Beverly.
Barbara is survived by her son Rick and Susan of Ocala, FL, son Scott and Leslie of Summerfield , FL and Jeffery of Colorado Springs, CO. Her extended family includes 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Barbara and Rollin had a wonderful life as world travelers, active golf and tennis partners and Duplicate Bridge players. Barbara received Lifemaster Status from the American Contract Bridge League.
The family would like to thank Ocala Senior Living and Gentiva Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.
A Memorial Service for Barbara will be set for a future date for her family and friends.
Interment to follow at Florida National Cemetery.
