Howard Feivou

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Howard Allen Feivou, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and hardworking businessman, who passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025 at the age of 83.

Howard’s story began in West Hartford, Connecticut, where he was born to parents Sally and Phillip Feivou. He was one of three siblings, predeceased by his older brother Irving and is survived by his younger sister Toba. It was there, in high school, that he met the love of his life, the former Melinda Jaffee –– a partnership that would lead to a lifelong bond filled with love, laughter, and family. After high school, he continued his education at the University of Hartford, where he laid the groundwork for a future marked by determination and integrity.

A man of dedication and vision, Howard went on to lead Superior Sales Company, where he poured decades of effort, leadership, and heart into building a business that reflected his commitment to excellence and service. He was president of the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) and took the job seriously while traveling around the country and world. After selling Superior Sales, Howard served for five years as the Associate Superintendent of Schools at the Fisher’s Island, NY, school before he and Melinda retired to the Villages, FL in 2011.

Beyond his work, Howard was a man of many interests. An avid ham radio operator (call sign WB1AKU), he found joy in reaching out across the airwaves, forming connections near and far. He loved the freedom of flying planes, the companionship of golf with his buddies, and the simple pleasures of a day at the beach. He had a special fondness for listening in on the lively beach gossip of the ladies.

But more than his professional achievements, Howard was most proud of his family. He was a loving and supportive father to his three children: Jack Feivou (Ann Feivou) of Winter Garden, FL, Lisa Lundy (Todd Lundy) and Heather Chambers (Randy Chambers), both of Durham, NC. Howard found joy in watching his family grow and thrive, and his legacy lives on in his beloved grandchildren: Zachary, Nicholas, Jordan, Maya, Alexa and Coby.

Howard will be remembered for his tireless work ethic, his steady presence, and the deep love he had for his friends and family. His life was a testament to perseverance, steadfastness, and loyalty.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A private service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
