It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved, George Matthew Meyers, who left us peacefully at home on Sunday June 8th, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army , serving his country with honor and dedication.
George Matthew Meyers was a loving and dedicated husband to Milagros Meyers, a caring father to Clint Meyers, Angela Norori and Amanda Canfield, a devoted sibling to brother, Bill Meyers and sisters Patty Markle and Betty McKeouch and a caring and loving papa to his grandchildren Draken, December, Isabella, Lorenzo, Martin and Jazzmyn.
Throughout his life, he was known for his bravery, strength, integrity, and kindness. His unwavering spirit and discipline were shaped by his service in the U.S. Army, leaving a legacy of patriotism and resilience.
He was a loving pet owner and dedicated his same love for his family to his four legged family members Jake, Chad, and Raggedy Ann who will be with him as he guards the the gates of heaven as only he knows best. He was a devoted family man, especially grateful for the time and conversations he shared with his daughter Angela who cared for him with unwavering love and compassion from the time he was diagnosed with cancer and during his final days.
His friends and family will remember his warm smile, his stories of service, and his generous heart.
He will be dearly missed but forever cherished in our memories. A service honoring his life and military service will be scheduled soon at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, Fl 33513.
Our hearts are heavy, but we find comfort in knowing he is at peace. Rest in eternal freedom, Dad.
