Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the female victim who explained Preston-Centonzio was upset because she was taking things she had bought away from him. He became enraged and grabbed her by the shoulders, slamming her to the ground and causing her to hit her head. He then began to punch her on her face and arms, the report said.

The victim sustained visible red marks and scratches on both arms. She also had some redness under her left eye, the report said.

The officer next spoke with Preston-Centonzio who admitted to hitting and biting the victim. Based on this, he was determined to be the primary aggressor, the report said.

Preston-Centonzio was subsequently arrested for battery and transported to the Sumter County Detention Center. The native of Puerto Rico was released after posting $1,000 bond.
