Last week, President Trump signed legislation into law that prevents California from imposing nationwide electric vehicle mandate and emissions standards. The three resolutions, which I supported and voted to pass earlier this year, end EPA waivers granted to California by the Biden Administration that would have banned gas-powered cars and forced 100 percent of vehicles sold to be “zero-emissions” by 2035.
The mandates granted by these waivers would have severely limited consumer choice and would have devastated the American automotive industry.
I applaud President Trump for signing these bills into law and stopping California from imposing their radical policies onto the rest of the country.
