A 270-unit multi-family development is planned west of the Oxford Oaks subdivision along Sumter County Road 209.

Special Magistrate Lindsay C.T. Holt Tuesday recommended approval of a site plan for the project at a meeting of the Wildwood Planning and Zoning Board. The City Commission may take action on the site plan later this month.

The Summerfield Cottages development would feature 56 buildings ranging from three units to six units on nearly 50 acres.

It would include 168 three-bedroom units and 108 two-bedroom units along with 440 garage parking spaces and 561 surface parking spaces. Six handicapped parking spaces are planned.

Amenities include a a 4,102-square-foot clubhouse, a pool, three pickleball courts and a walking path.
