Neighbors opposed a request to replace a mobile home south of County Road 44A at a meeting Tuesday of the Wildwood Planning and Zoning Board.
After hearing their opposition, Special Magistrate Lindsay C.T. Holt recommended approval of a comprehensive plan amendment for Bonnie Norma Boyd, whose property is on County Road 154A next to the Alden Bungalows neighborhood of The Villages, not far from the Brownwood Hotel & Spa.
Holt later recommended approval of a rezoning request to mobile home park for the 0.146-acre site.

If both are approved by the City Commission, Boyd would be able to put a new mobile home on the property where another mobile home was torn down. Other mobile homes are in the area.
But several neighbors spoke against the Boyd’s plan.
Carlos Carrizales, who lives on County Road 177, said the Boyd mobile home would decrease his property values.
“I live in a house out there and I’ve remodeled it,” said Charlene Copeland, adding that she lives about 300 yards from Boyd’s property and is a 40-year Wildwood resident. “That is going to knock my value down.”
Cherie Hill and Mary Williams also said they do not approve of Boyd’s plan.
