Jerome  Aloysius Schalz Jr., age 79, of The Villages, Florida, peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025. Born in Wabeno, Wisconsin, on June 13, 1946, Jerry was a devoted family man, dedicated professional, and a cherished friend to many.

Jerry married his beloved wife Lana Schalz in 1966, marking the beginning of a lifelong partnership filled with love and companionship. That same year, he embarked on a distinguished 36-year career with Procter & Gamble. His work journey took him across the country and around the world—from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to Modesto, California, then to Kobe, Japan, and finally back to Green Bay, Wisconsin—leaving a lasting impact wherever he went.

After retiring, Jerry and Lana chose to make their home in The Villages, Florida, where they enjoyed their retirement years together. Jerry embraced a variety of hobbies that brought him joy and relaxation, including golf, photography, and reading the morning paper on his lanai. He treasured dinners out with friends and was a passionate supporter and owner of his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers.

Jerry is lovingly remembered by his wife Lana Sackett Schalz; his daughter Shelly (Ken) Stephens; his son Jerome Schalz III; his sister Winnie (Roger) Ostrenga; and his grandchildren Kenny Stephens, Samantha (Josh) Ramos, Jerome Schalz IV, Alexandra (Benjamin) Keyston, Jacob Stephens, Lucy Schalz, and Lucas Schalz. He also leaves behind his great-grandsons Matteo and Jeriah Ramos, who brought him immeasurable joy.

He was preceded in death by his father Jerome A. Schalz Sr., his mother Agnas Alice Lehto, and his sister Marilyn Deede.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Jerry’s remarkable life and legacy.
