A Panda Express worker has been arrested in connection with the fraudulent use of a Pennsylvania identification.
Luz Nereida Sanchez, 56, of Summerfield, was driving a red 2019 Toyota Camry XLE shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. 301 when a deputy ran the vehicle’s license plate and learned that the vehicle’s registered owner did not have a valid driver’s license, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. A traffic stop was initiated at the Circle K at U.S. 301 and County Road 472.

Sanchez handed the deputy her Florida driver’s license, but a check revealed her license had been canceled indefinitely in June because she used had the identification of a person who resides in Pennsylvania. Records showed that Sanchez had been informed of the cancellation of her driver’s license.
The native of Puerto Rico, who was wearing her Panda Express uniform at the time of the traffic stop, was taken into custody and jailed without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.
