It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Michael Patrick (Morley) Borden. Son of Gloria Puntorno Morley (d. 1973), Michael was born July 27, 1953, in New Jersey. Mike resided in Lady Lake, Florida at the time of his passing on August 1, 2025.
Throughout his life, Mike was a hard worker and applied that ethic and enthusiasm to everything. His boundless love of life and engagement in talking about any topic from fishing to cooking, movies to sports. Mike loved all his family – near and far – traveling and enjoying many activities with them, and always planning trips and fun times together, especially fishing.
Mike loved collecting and trading everything from baseball cards and comic books to Disney pins and ceramics, often sharing these items with family and friends. He was also an avid reader of science fiction and always enthusiastic to talk about the book he was reading. With a keen sense of humor Mike approached each day with purpose and a smile, always there to give advice, and was always quick to laughter.
Mike is survived by his siblings John Jr, Paula and Pam; widow Ellen Gubitosi Borden; children Michael John and Jaime; grandchildren Emily, John Vincent, and Jason; cousins; nephew John III; in-laws; and friends.
