Wildwood officials are advising the public of upcoming local lane closures due to construction intended to remediate flooding concerns on Powell Street.
Work is expected to begin Monday, Aug. 18 and take three to four weeks to complete. The project will build a new floodplain remediation pond area, stormwater inlets and pipes near the intersection of Missouri Avenue and Lee Street.
“We thank residents for their patience,” said Public Works Director Jeremy Hockenbury. “Our goal is to minimize the temporary inconvenience during construction while alleviating a greater inconvenience experienced by residents over several years during heavy rainstorms.”
Motorists are encouraged to navigate around the construction site by using nearby roads in the neighborhood’s street grid.
