U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a hold on a Wildwood man who admitted he was not a citizen and did not have a license.
A deputy observed a white Dodge Challenger heading north on Preston Drive in The Villages around 10:45 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. A check of the tag revealed the registered owner, 30-year-old Eduardo Salgado Fajardo, did not have a driver’s license.

The subsequently stopped the vehicle at the Circle K at Southern Trace Plaza. Salgado Fajardo admitted he did not have a license, nor had he ever had one in the United States. He was not a citizen and handed the deputy a Mexican ID, the report aid.
Salgado Fajardo was arrested on charge of operate motor vehicle without valid license. He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center where bond where ICE put a hold on his custody.
