Rose Mary Gilmore, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025.
She was born in Vincense,Indiana, and shared sixty-five beautiful years of marriage with the love of her life, Earl Winston Gilmore. Rose Mary was the heart of her family – a devoted homemaker, a caring mother, a dedicated secretary, and a talented organizer of countless events and charitable causes.
Her warm spirit, generous heart, and tireless dedication touched the lives of everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Winston Gilmore; her son, Michael Earl Gilmore; and all of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Similo, and son-in-law, Ron Similo; four cherished grandchildren, Kale Gilmore, Shane Gilmore, Megan Winton, and Lori Hilton; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Nothing brought Rose Mary greater joy than being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and the generations that followed.
Her love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
