
Charleen Suzanne Krauss, affectionately known as Sue or Suzie, age 71, of Lady Lake, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 4, 1953, in Canton, Ohio, Sue was a beacon of warmth and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Sue graduated from Oakwood High School in Stark County, Ohio, in 1971, and went on to build a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. On February 8, 1979, she married her beloved husband, Frank M. Krauss, with whom she shared 46 wonderful years of marriage. Their bond was a testament to true partnership, and they were inseparable in life and in spirit.
A woman of many talents, Sue found joy in gardening, sewing, cooking, and crocheting. Her hands created not only beautiful crafts but also delicious meals that brought family and friends together. She had a profound love for animals. She enjoyed, her time as a camp host, where she shared her passion for nature and wildlife with others.
Sue is survived by her cherished daughters, Amber S. Krauss and Ashley D. Neitzelt (Christopher), who carry forward her legacy of love and compassion. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Donna G. Lovelace (Ward), with whom she shared countless memories over their 68 years together. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Beuford and Eileen Wiggins.
In a poignant turn of fate, Sue’s devoted husband, Frank, followed her in passing just one day later, a testament to their deep connection and love for one another.
A private family ash scattering will take place, followed by a celebration of life at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the beautiful spirit of Sue Krauss.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to your local no-kill animal shelter or rescue, a cause that was close to Sue’s heart.
Sue’s legacy of love, creativity, and compassion will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
