A Belleview woman was arrested when she was stopped with a suspended license and rolled marijuana next to her on the center console.
A deputy observed 28-year-old Kandice Marie Posillico in a black Nissan Altima headed south in Webster at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The license plate frame obstructed the plate, so he stopped the vehicle at State Roads 471 and 50.

Posillico openly admitted she did not have a driver’s license on her because it was suspended for DUI. A record check confirmed she had an active suspension and revocation, the report said.
While speaking to her, the deputy noticed a green leafy substance rolled in tan paper within an ashtray on the center console. She stated she had marijuana in the vehicle and handed over a medical marijuana card which expired in 2022. This led to a search of the vehicle, the report said.
The deputy found a red and white plastic bag containing two small, rolled papers with more marijuana. The combined weight of the substance was less than 20 grams, the report said.
Posillico later stated she knew her license was suspended but “pushed her limits today,” the report said.
The Virginia native was arrested on charges of driving while license suspended, possession of marijuana (less than 20 grams) and drug equipment (possess or use). She was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center with bond set at $12,000.
