A Lady Lake woman was arrested for driving with a license suspended for driving under the influence.
Officers ran the tag from an orange Ford Focus in the area of U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and Griffinview Drive around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. They learned the registered owner, 53-year-old Ileana Rivera, only had a Florida ID and not a driver’s license.

They watched as Rivera got into the vehicle and left the Sunoco gas station, located at 413 U.S. Hwy. 27/441. They then stopped her at the intersection of Griffinview Drive and Ivanhoe Circle, the report said.
She stated she knew she only had an ID, but she was waiting for a restricted license to be issued to her. Sh also admitted her license had been suspended for a DUI conviction in Connecticut.
Rivera was then arrested on charge of driving while license suspended for DUI. The New York native was transported to Lake County Jail with bond set at $10,000.
