Dean Russell Mitchell, 83, passed away on September 7th, 2025. Dean was born on November 29, 1941 to Loren and Garnet Mitchell in Allerton, Iowa.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his service in the Military, Mr. Mitchell worked as an IT specialist for the Honeywell and for P.R.I.D.E. (Prison, Rehabilitative, Industry, Diversified, Enterprise) of Florida. He enjoyed fishing and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Glenda Mitchell of Homosassa, Florida. Children: Melissa Mitchell (Danny) of Corydon, Iowa; Michele (Brian) Lehman of Des Moines, Iowa; Sarah (Brett) Spotten of Ankeny, Iowa; Patrick Mitchell of Las Vegas, Nevada. Stepchildren: Lucretia (Paul) Gerth of Trenton, Florida; Brian (Christine) Hobson/Woerner of Brooksville, Florida. Brothers: Gary (Cheryl) Mitchell of Missouri; Steven (Jill) Mitchell of Iowa, Sister: Ann (Jim) Clark of Missouri. Twelve grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter.
