With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William G. Carson, who passed away on May 19, 2025, in the Villages, Florida at the age of 72.
Will was born on March 27,1953 in Camden, New Jersey, to William and Dorothy Carson. His fabulous childhood was spent at his Pop’s Marina in Wildwood, New Jersey, where he learned every facet of boating and fishing. His love for sharing stories of those days became a cherished part of who he was. After graduating from Martin County High School in 1971, Will’s diverse talents shone through. He was an impressive gymnast, a scratch bowler with professional aspirations, and a dedicated Bible School teacher.
On June 10, 1977, he married the love of his life Vickie, in Stuart, Florida. In 1982, he co-founded Forward Electric and Air Conditioning, a business he owned and operated with pride until his retirement in 2020. Will was a pillar of the Martin County community, serving as President of the Chamber of Commerce and lending his time to the Kiwanis Club, Leadership of Martin County, Sertoma, and was on the board of Helping People Succeed.
Will’s passions extended to the great outdoors, where he enjoyed deer and quail hunting and the thrill of deep-sea fishing, particularly in the Keys and Bahamas. In retirement, he embraced a new chapter in the Villages, where golfing became his primary pursuit, complemented by his joy for cooking. He leaves behind a loving family including his devoted wife, Vickie; his children Gina Kenyon, her husband Chuck; Will Carson, and his adopted daughter Amy Howard. He was a proud grandfather to Hanna, Anthony, Alyssa, Olivia, and Roc.
He is also survived by his sister, Cathy Carson; niece Hollie Rhatigan, her husband Chris, nephew Cory Parrish, his wife Elyn; Brother-in-law Chuck Terra, wife Cyrissa and nephew Marty; and many great nieces and nephews. He is now reunited with those who passed before him; his father, William, his mother, Dorothy; and his grandparents, George and Dorothy Hackman. Will’s legacy of hard work, community spirit, and love for his family will never be forgotten.
