Russell Gene Chesnut, known affectionately as Russ to his family and friends, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, in Summerfield, Florida. Born on March 2, 1964, in Hamilton, Ohio, Russ’s journey through life was marked by his unwavering kindness, his love for his family, and his dedication to serving others.

Russ is survived by his loving wife, Karrie, and their children, Rusty Chesnut, Loren and Matthew Womack. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Jayci, Lathan, Matson, Leanna, Luella, Alayna Womack, Saylor Rayne Chesnut, and Rylyn May Arnold. He also leaves behind his siblings, Gilbert, Jackie, William, Randy, Mitchell, and Jamie, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and a community of friends who deeply felt his generosity and warmth. Russ was preceded in death by his son, Trinnen James.

Throughout his life, Russ was the epitome of a man who lived by his Christian faith, demonstrating his beliefs through his actions. He was a steadying presence, a dependable man who was always ready to lend a helping hand.
