A golf cart driver is being sought in a hit-and-run crash that knocked over a marble stone marker at a veterans park in The Villages.
The golf cart driver caused $1,500 in damage on Sept. 20 at Veterans Memorial Park off Paige Place near Spanish Springs Town Square, according to the Lady Lake Police Department.
Video of the incident showed the cart overturn after striking the sign and bystanders assisting the driver in lifting his cart back to its wheels before the driver left the scene without reporting the incident.
